The SERA Karst Task Force met to continue work on the cleanup project at Rocky River Cave. After decades of dumping, the huge sinkhole contained a staggering amount of trash. On this day thousands of pounds of debris were removed including: decaying furniture, several washing machines and dryers, a stove, the entire grill and fenders of a ford pickup, about a dozen tires, rolls of wire fence, two televisions, a microwave oven, an excercise bike, many gas cylinders and fire extinguishers, untold pieces of sheet metal, and countless bottles, cans, and plastic containers.
